The Kadalundi bird sanctuary can be found in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. It is spread out over multiple islands in a picture-perfect setting surrounded by hillocks at the point where the Kadalundi River flows into the Arabian Sea.
This utopia was designed with ornithologists in mind when it was built. A variety of species can be observed, including seagulls, terns, sandpipers, sand plovers, red and greenshanks, turnstones, and more; the months of November to April offer the finest opportunities to do so.
Photographers interested in birds and other wildlife come here to capture even the most fleeting of the birds' movements on film.
