Borgo Antico, also known as Monterosso al Mare, is a town located in the region of Liguria on the northwest coast of Italy. It is one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre. Borgo Antico is the largest of the five villages of Cinque Terre and is known for its beautiful beaches, charming old town, delicious local cuisine, stunning reefs, historic center, and the Monterosso Castle. It is a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer months.

The medieval tower of Aurora serves as a dividing line between the two halves of Monterosso. The remnants of the castle dominate Monterosso's historic center, which features characteristic medieval carruggi alleyways lined with colorful terraced homes, businesses, and eateries.
