The House of Mirrors, Kuwait City

The House of Mirrors is a remarkable museum in Kuwait City exhibiting and depicting the creativity and energies which is developed inside the bricks. The exterior walls of the House of Mirrors are covered with murals of mirror mosaic. And each piece symbolizes a unique meaning. And the interior part is completely covered with stunning mirror mosaic tiles. Every little piece of mirror when come together create a huge art representation.

Located in Qadsiya, the house is a private property and belongs to Khalifa and Lidia Al-Qattan. They have turned their house into a museum boasting an incredible mirror art. A number of artists took more than 40 years to create the inspirational art. Since it is a privately-owned museum, visitors must get an appointment in advance to visit the museum.

Souk Al-Mubarakiya

Souk Al-Mubarakiya is one of the oldest souks in Kuwait. It was the trade point prior to the discovery of oil. Indulge your senses, colors, different textures at Souk Al-Mubarakiya. Browse through honey, dates, spices, olives, Bedouin woven handicrafts to authentic souvenirs. The wide perimeter of the souk is closed to car traffic during the weekend. And you can see people playing traditional music during the weekend. You can spend hours while strolling and discovering the different items.

The Scientific Center

The Scientific Center is one of the most emblematic buildings across Kuwait. It serves as hub for environmental education of the Arabian Gulf. The aquarium is the special attraction of the Scientific Center. It is the largest aquarium in the Middle East after Dubai. The aquarium holds more than 100 different species of animals. It also has Discovery Place, an IMAX theatre, historical dhows, and a souvenir shop.

Mutla Ridge

The highest point in Kuwait, Multa Ridge is a perfect spot for camping and hiking. It is natural escarpment of rocks and the only geological feature of interest in the whole country. This area is great for mountain biking during winter because of its hard-packed ground.

Sadu House Textile Art Museum

Several museums in Kuwait exhibit the great history, art, artifacts and much more. Sadu House is one exceptional museum that depicts Bedouin crafts namely Sadu weaving. Located next to the National Museum of Kuwait, visitors can discover the Bedouin art of weaving in different styles and history too. Sadu House or Bait Al Sadu was previously an old Kuwaiti house which has been converted into a cultural center.
