The public has access to a wide range of fascinating modern and contemporary art at the Moco Museum Amsterdam. Spend the day surrounded by modern and contemporary art by visiting the Moco Museum in Amsterdam. The imaginative pieces on display in the museum, created by well-known artists including JR, Koons, Kusama, Haring, Hirst, Banksy, Basquiat, and KAWS, will mesmerize you. You would love to participate in any of the exhibitions the museum is hosting.

Here are various reasons to visit Moco and things to do in the museum, which is located in the center of Amsterdam's Museum District, ranging from the well-known Banksy pieces to brand-new immersive art projects.

  • Girl with Balloon:

One of Banksy's most impactful pieces to date, Girl with Balloon first appeared on London's South Bank in 2002. The picture of the little child holding a balloon in the shape of a heart perfectly embodies the spirit of childhood: joy, innocence, tranquility, and wild dreams.

  • Garden exhibitions:

Visitors may get up and personal with contemporary masters' outdoor sculptures at the Moco Garden exhibition. The artwork in the garden collection is continually changing and includes pieces by well-known worldwide artists including Banksy's Heart Boy and KAWS's Final Days, a larger-than-life sculpture made of afrormosia, a traditional African wood that is thought to contain spiritual energy.

  • Diamond Matrix:

The collaboration between Dutch and Moco contemporary artist Studio Irma resulted in the creation of a brand-new immersive digital art exhibition titled Reflecting Forward. You are guided through the interactive artworks by colorful lighting and rhythmic, scene-setting music. The art installation is popular among viewers because it allows for individual exploration, reflection, and experience.

  • Dollar Sign:

One of Andy Warhol's most recognizable artworks is Dollar Sign. The work of the pop artist illustrates the critical confluence of riches and art and the notion that one cannot exist without the other. Despite coming from a working-class family, Warhol's intense interest in mass culture and his commercial success are reflected in Dollar Sign. At the Moco Museum, there is also a display of Warhol's well-known Marilyn Monroe.
