The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center named the finest convention center in the Middle East by World Travel Awards, is open to visitors regardless of whether they are there for a special occasion or business meeting. In 2007, President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan inaugurated this prestigious project.

It is the biggest exhibition center in the Middle East and features a variety of amenities, including indoor and outdoor areas, 20 meeting rooms, conference halls with space for hundreds of people, and many others. While dining at one of the many on-site cafes or spending the night in one of the five hotels, visitors can marvel at the sheer scale and contemporary architecture of this attraction.

The 408-room Aloft Abu Dhabi, which is a component of the Capital Center development and attached to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, debuted in October 2009. This is the first Aloft in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. ADNEC owns Aloft, which is run by Starwood Hotels and Resorts International.

By using the infrared spectrum of sunlight to generate energy, panels in the hotel heat water for its 408 rooms, food and beverage outlets, two production kitchens, hotel offices, and swimming pool, saving estimated 870 megawatt hours of electricity annually. The first hotel in Abu Dhabi to use these solar energy panels is Aloft.
