Air Armenia is a private airline, which operates its services from its main hub- Yerevan Zvartnots Airport. Air Armenia operated only cargo flights for the year 2003-2004, first year of its establishment. From 2004 onwards, Air Armenia was contracted to operate passenger flights. In 2013, Air Armenia launched regular passenger services to Russia, and the airline is in verge of expansion to other destinations in the CIS, Europe and Middle East.

Air Armenia is launched in America during the year 2003 based at Yerevan Zvartnots Airport foundation. Though the airlines launched in 2033 it operated only as a cargo airlines until 2013. It is a privately operated airline serving both public and cargo. The airline offers passenger services to Russia and it planned to expand its operations to other countries of CIS, namely Europe and Asia. The Airlines serves as a nerve point at Zvartnots International Airport. It serves around 10 destinations with single stylish aircraft.
Unaccompanied Minors – infants under the age group of 5-12 years are recognized as minors and if they are not escorted with either parents or guardians the airlines assists them from departure to arrival. A service fee of EUR40 is collected towards this special assistance.
Passengers with Special Needs – all the passengers with special needs like wheelchairs, assistive devices are served with great assistance by the airlines staff. Passengers travelling with any disabilities or senior people should be assisted by an escort or else the airlines provide assistance on special fee towards the service.
Pet Carriers – Airline encourages pet carrying passengers requesting all the pets in kennels or containers which weight not more than 5kg. No pets are allowed in the cabin without a proper fitness certificate from a medical practitioner. All charges are applied towards transportation of animals whether in the cabin or as baggage hold.
Flight Status & Check-In
The airline requests all the passengers to arrive at the airport 3 hours prior flight departure. Passengers requesting for special needs or assistance should meet the airport help desk not less than 2 hours before. All the requests should be confirmed 48 hours prior to scheduled departure of the flight. Online check-in facility is also available at the passengers comfort to avoid long queues. Carry your boarding pass and arrive at the gates not less than 30 minutes before departure of the flight.
Air Armenia offers passengers certain liberty towards baggage allowance categorized according to the class of airfare reservations. Passengers travelling on economy class to/from Moscow can carry free checked baggage of 32kg, for business class travelers it is 50kg. Passengers travelling on economy class to/from Nizhni Novgorod can carry free checked baggage of 20kg. Passengers travelling on economy class to/from Athens can carry free checked baggage of 23kg.
Passengers travelling on economy class to/from Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, and Sochi can carry free checked baggage of 25kg. Passengers travelling on economy class to/from Yekaterinburg can carry free checked baggage of 20kg. Passengers travelling on economy class to/from Paris can carry free checked baggage of 23kg, for business class travelers it is 32kg. All the passengers travelling in economy class are eligible to carry a cabin baggage of 8kg, excepting for travelers from Nizhni Novgorod and Yekaterinburg who can carry 5kg only. Passengers travelling with infants are privileged to carry an extra baggage of 10kg of 115cm. Sports equipment is also allowed onboard which should not exceed a total dimensions of 2 meters.
