Mani Bhavan, one of the most well-known and prominent memorials connected to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorials, is situated on Laburnam Road close to Wilson College.
It was one of Mahatma Gandhi's residences where he spent time and where the non-cooperation, satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi, and Khilafat movements were born. With the use of little statues, the museum depicts Gandhiji's life year by year from the start till his passing. It offers a profoundly moving and authentic cultural experience.

Gandhiji's videos and speeches are shown and heard in an auditorium on the first level of the structure. The hall is frequently used for college and school seminars, talks, and competitions. Along with a few of Gandhiji's books, the first floor of the building contains framed reproductions of letters Gandhiji wrote to leaders, including President Roosevelt and Adolf Hitler, as well as pages from his notebooks and top-page newspaper clippings from the day of his murder.
Mahatma Gandhi utilized a room on the second level as his living room and workspace, which has been preserved. The second-story bedroom of Gandhiji is replicated further up, complete with his spinning wheel, mattress, and personal items like a square table with a book, wooden clog sandals, and a hand fan.
This opens up to a gallery with some additional items, clothing, and a space filled with tiny figures representing significant occasions in Gandhiji's life in chronological sequence, from occasions like the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the Dandi March, the salt satyagraha, and more.
In addition to acting as a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the monument houses a doctoral research center for rural development and Gandhian philosophy. It has a library of more than 20,000 books, magazines, and collections of Mahatma Gandhi's writings and related material.
