One of Jazan's most significant museums, the Zayla'i Maritime Museum, is located on Farasan Island. On Farasan Island, it is a modest private museum that is housed in the home of its founder, Zayla'i Muhammad Dawood.

It is one of the maritime museums since it possesses 10,000 marine artifacts, including a sixteen-meter-long whale and a variety of shells and marine animals. The placement of the marine objects and shells is unique and artistic, giving the impression that you are on a deep-sea voyage while viewing a beautiful work of art.

In addition, there are numerous turtles of various sizes and shapes in the museum. The owner of the museum yearly donates the collection to the Al Janadriyah Festival, which features a unique pavilion for the Jazan region. Over 10,000 pieces of shells, crustaceans, and fish are on exhibit in the museum, and artifacts from the Red Sea make up 90% of the overall collection. Scientists have also discovered a 300-year-old turtle that has been mummified in the area.
