The Quaid-i-Azam Institution Islamabad (Urdu: ; more usually abbreviated as QAU), formerly known as the University of Islamabad, is a public research university in Islamabad, Pakistan, that is now ranked number one.
It is one of the most picturesque universities in the area and can be found just a few kilometers away from the diplomatic enclave in the city.

It was originally established in 1967 as the University of Islamabad and was initially devoted to the study of postgraduate education.
