Each passenger may check in up to three checked bags upon payment of the applicable checked baggage fees by electing to purchase a checked baggage allowance of either 15 kilos or 20 kilos when make their initial booking.

What cabin baggage guests can bring on board?
Guests can bring 1 bag, which must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm in size and 10kg in weight. This bag must also fit in the airline’s specified size and should easily fit in the overhead locker.
1 small bag e.g. handbag, laptop bag etc. must not exceed 35cm x 20cm x 20cm and should easily fit under the seat in front of you.

Oversized cabin baggage will be refused at the boarding gate, or where available, placed in the hold of the aircraft for a fee of £50/€50.
What if guests’ baggage is damaged, delayed or lost?
If your bag is lost, delayed or damaged you will need report it at your arrival airport and submit a claim. A claim must be submitted to Ryanair within the below time limits set out by the Montreal Convention 1999.
Damage to Checked Baggage
Damage to checked baggage must be reported at your arrival airport and in addition a claim should be submitted to Ryanair within 7 days from the date of bag damage occurring. Once a claim has been made please be aware of the following:
Copies of original receipt(s) for damaged item(s) will be requested. Damaged items and original receipts must be retained until the claim has been finalized.
A replacement bag receipt in lieu of original damage bag receipt cannot be accepted
Damaged baggage claims will be processed within 15 working days of receipt
Loss/Delayed Checked Baggage
Loss or delay of checked baggage must be reported at your arrival airport. You will be given a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) at the arrivals desk. You can then use the PIR reference to check if there is any update on the tracing of your bag.
In addition a claim must be submitted to Ryanair within 21 days on which the Baggage was placed at your disposal. Delayed baggage claims will be processed within 15 working days of receipt. Lost baggage claims will be processed within 28 working days of receipt.
Can I bring my pet on the flight?
No, Ryanair does not carry animals on our flights, except for guide and assistance dogs on certain routes.
What are Ryanair’s excess baggage charges?
This is currently £10/€10 per kilo in excess of your checked bag allowance.
Your checked bag allowance is either:
15 kilos per bag; or
20 kilos per bag
